Heavenly appeared in 1990. Formed from the remains of the brilliant Talulah Gosh they signed to the mighty Sarah Records of Bristol. Their debut single "I Fell In Love Last Night" was an instant classic and was soon followed by the bands debut album "Heavenly Vs Satan" which consisted of eight perfectly formed slices of indie-pop perfection. The following year saw the release of Heavenly's second album "Le Jardin De Heavenly" and what was for me the bands best single "So Little Deserve", a version of which appeares in this session. I thought it was a crime that that single didn't get enough votes for that years festive 50. Still 1991 was a good year for music.
Heavenly recorded two sessions for John Peel. This was the first.
Matthew Fletcher (Drums)
Rob Pursey (Bass)
Peter Momtchiloff (Guitar)
Amelia Fletcher (Guitar, Vocals)

Thank you very much for this. However, may I add that the zip file is corrupted!
I can't find a problem but I've re-dome the file so it should be ok now.
Thanking you again. I finally got it. My wife likes them very much. I have everything by them including Japs pressings. Cheers!
Hi Kris great blog here. It's great to hear this session again. I have some Heavenly stuff on Sarah and it's pure. Could I ask you to have a look at the Would-Be's link, it doesn't seem to be working and I would love to hear that again. Best.
No, definitely a bad .zip file. it's only 3 kb. Pity, I would like to hear this
Seems to work fine for me.
I've been after this session for over 10 years (I think that the session version of 'So Little Deserve' is superior to the single release)...but cannot work out how to download it...can someone help me out here?
