This is the first of six half hour episodes of a John Peel interview recorded with John Walters in the late eighties. The series charts Peel's musical history and starts right at the beginning with the first record he ever bought. The rest of the series will follow over the next week or so and really is fascinating stuff.

This is the last half hour of what sounds like a terrific show including a session from Motorcycle Boy
One of the highlights for me on here is "Mind The Gap" by Cud which I really don't think I've ever heard before. Other records played include Big Stick, Lady Sweet Sugar, Joy Division, The Wailing Souls, Heresy and a very nice African record which I couldn't spell if I spent until next Tuesday trying.
